Dance Teams

If you are ready to take your dancing skills and commitment beyond that of our regular studio classes then it may be time to consider joining one of our competitive teams! Tryouts for Competitive Teams are every June.  Those who participate on our Dance Team will get to experience dance at a new, fun level!!  Their confidence, friendships and skills will flourish!!  Please contact us via email if you have more questions!

Acro Team Information

Dance Team Member's Commitments

  • Team members will be required to remain on the team from June 2023 through May 2024.
  • Team members will be required to attend all of their weekly, monthly, and extra classes throughout the dance year.
  • Team members are required to attend class on time and stay for the entire class.
  • Each team member will be allowed to have 3 absences throughout the year per class.
  • Team dancers will perform at Christmas Performances, the Grand Spring Recital and two-three local competitions in the spring.
  • Other performance dates may arise throughout the year that team dancers will be required to attend.

  • Team Jackets or Hoodies approximately $35-$45
  • Team Bags approximately $10-15
  • Jazz Shoes approximately$25-$35

    Team girls will have matching hair and makeup for competitions.

Tuition & Fees

  • Teams Tuition: $45 - $65/Month
  • Ballet: $40 - $65/Month
  • Team Technique: $35 - $55/Month

    Competition Fees vary based on the competition. We estimate the cost to be around $100 per competition per dancer (solos, duos or trios different fees).

Team Policies

  • Tuition MUST be paid in full up to the current date of any given competition or performance in order to compete.
  • All financial commitments are non-refundable and due by the dates given through the parent portal.
  • All payments need to be made through the Parent Portal. Other accommodations may be made by contacting Janese Botelho, Motions Office Director.
  • Drop Out Fee: $200 – If a student drops out before the season is over, all of their financial commitments listed are still due. They will also owe an additional drop out fee.
  • Each elementary team will compete two-three dances at each competition. Middle and Highschoolers will be assigned to routines based on the Coaches’ discretion. Routines for all teams will include the styles of Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Contemporary.
  • Each team will perform a production number for the Grand Spring Recital. They will also perform their competition pieces at Christmas and the Grand Spring Recital

Zero Gravity

This is our NEW Middle School/High School Acro Team.

General Information for our upcoming Season with our new Acro Teams

  • To be considered, Team Members must have the skillet to be in Acro 3 or 4
  • Those who wish to be on the Acro Team must register and participate in the Dance Team Tryouts on May 29th and 30th. We will be looking at students during tryouts and offer placement on an Acro Team and a regular Dance Team to those who qualify for both.
  • You do not have to participate on another Motions Team to be on an Acro Team, but there will be requirements in order to participate if you are not on another Motions Team.
  • Teams will perform one number at Christmas and Spring Recitals as well as 3 local competitions.
  • Acro Tuition will be a one-time fee for the Season of $175. This will cover all practices.
  • Acro Teams will meet on the following schedule:
  • Summer - 1 Practice, 2 Hours
  • September - December - 1 two hour practice every month
  • January - March - 2 one hour practices every month
  • May - 1 one hour practice, 1 one hour combined Open-Gym end of Season Party

Acro Team Member's Commitments

  • Due to the low number of practices, 100% attendance is required except in case of sickness.​
  • Acro Team Tuition: $175 Season

    Paid when you register

  • Must be enrolled in Tumbling/Acro 3 or 4 $45/month
  • Costume Purchase for members of the Light Benders Team $40
  • Costume Purchase for members of the Zero Gravity Team​ Varies

    Competition Fees vary based on the competition. We estimate the cost to be around $100 per competition per dancer (solos, duos or trios different fees).

  • Some sort of acro shoe may be required up to $20
  • Competition Charges will average between per competition $40 - $60

Withdraw From A Class

Want to Withdrawal from a class?

If you wish to withdraw your child from a class, you must do so in writing via email to our Office Manager at [email protected]  before the 15th day of the month prior to the month you wish to withdraw from (2 weeks notice).  Otherwise, tuition for the entire month is still due and is non-refundable – no exceptions.
